Choosing to sublet for the summer with complete strangers has seemed to work out in my favour.
I’ve spent most of my summer (outside of work and dragon boat) with my new roommates. -side note: I tend to spend most of my spare time with the people I live with- It has worked out great that they are such wonderful people! I feel like I’ve found another friend group… I guess that’s a good thing, but I just don’t want to get disconnected with people I don’t see very often.
This is always my problem, I get a few good friends in different groups and never seem to cross over friend groups - i.e. introduce friends of different groups to hangout. So now I just have a bunch of scattered friend groups.
Maybe it’s just that I don’t want to connect with a small group of people on a really deep level, maybe it’s because I get bored of people too easily, but maybe I just like connecting with diverse groups/crowds of people. The groups I follow tend to have different group dynamics/general interests/”cliques”.
Probably one of the most delicious ways to cook - especially because it’s easy.
Tonight’s endeavour? Beer can chicken.

So for my jarb I have to participate in a workshop every Friday afternoon. Today’s workshop was on giving workshops and it was run by someone I used to work with at McDonald’s in Alliston almost five years ago…

Slept under the stars and woke up to clearly skies.
Had a great retreat with the team. Enjoyed the sauna, rafting in the ponds, barbecuing, playing man hunt, and for some reason, had some ritual seance thing goin on. Ended the night with some drinking, glowstick fights, and sleeping out on the balcony.

Today was our third day of this summer job. Our supervisor left us a short list of tasks to complete. How long did it take? Only an hour. What do we do for the rest of the day? Move a really old cabinet in an illegitimate way, sweep the floor, sit/nap at our table for two hours, and leave two hours early. Probably the easiest job I could ask for.
