Lately, I’ve been slacking on posts again. SKULE has started up again, and I’ve managed to fall asleep in 3 of the about 8 lectures I’ve had so far. I’m off to a good start.
Some profs still make me feel like I’m in High School or younger. They treat us like we’re three and I don’t know how, but they manage to turn our lectures into discussion periods when they should be teaching us scientific theory or statistical analysis. One prof (who led a course last term but was never really around, the TAs taught us) made us AGAIN write down why we chose engineering, and then we had to submit it (good thing I actually wrote “mo’ moneys” on it, though she probably won’t be amused - gotta love anonymity).
In my Environmental Chemistry class we had to take a questionare to determine which “leadership style” we are. Apparently I’m a “driver” so I like to get things done and have a tendency to push people to do their work faster (which is totally true, I want to see results and I want to see them now - this often ends up as me doing a lot of work in group scenarios). And then our “consulting groups” were made based on these styles as each group should consist of multiple styles, or all four, for the group to be effective.
I went on a pub crawl last night for the first time. Yes, it was a Tuesday night but when else will I be able to follow a crowd through the Village on a weekday from pub to pub?
I already have problem sets. I have a lab tomorrow. School started too fast.
(Also, @imvanntastic decided it would be a good time to start playing LoL and have expanded my nerd-ness to the next level.)
